President’s Report
Welcome to our webpage. We hope that you find it a useful introduction to the International Women’s Group.
This very special and much needed group was formed in 1996. The founding members wanted to listen to each other’s stories and to have their own stories heard. Through listening and shared storytelling our members are provided support in a safe and nurturing environment.
Over the years we have continued to build on the Victorian multicultural success story. With our festivals and events, we promote the benefits of cultural diversity, connecting with other local culturally diverse communities.
We are not only a strong advocate for members and their communities, we take on other tasks such as; informing members about multicultural affairs, settlement service delivery in the local area, deal with citizenship issues and provide some educational and training opportunities.
We welcome any members who are prepared to continue with our tradition of listening to others needs, building a safe and respected environment while supporting on-going relationships with respect.
We are looking forward to hearing from you and hope that you will be encouraged to join the International Women’s Group. You will be very welcome.

Committee
Each time an event or activity is planned, we set up a working committee. The committee exists to help with the organisation of festivals and provide general kitchen duties and tidy up after meetings. We can always use an extra pair of hands and if you wish to offer your services at any time feel free to speak to any executive or committee member.
